Now: Look on "www.daos.dk". The first picture is from last year. It's me in the white t-shirt at the timpany (drums) in the background in the right side.

We are this year (year no 67) 250 happy amateurs and 20 conducters and instructors. Start Saturday 25.07, end Friday 31.07 in the night or next morning.

Where? Askov Højskole in Jylland (Dk.). A højskole is a special Danish invension. It's a sort of campus, where the students live on the school, join classes and social life. Mostly for culture and life. Totaly without exam. The meaning is personal development.

We hire the school for a week in the summer and invite amateurs to come and play in orchestras and chambermusic.

Each day: in the morning 9-12 choice (for the whole week) between Berg: Violinconcerto, Tjaikovskij: Symphony nr. 6 and Beethoven: Symphony nr. 8, concert Thursday. In theafternoon 15-18 choice (for the whole week) between Bruckner: Symphony nr. 6, Brahms: Symphony nr. 4 and Ravel: Ma Mère l'Oye, concert Friday.

And in the morning there is also an orchestra for children, at 9 to 12, with 18 children from 8 to 14 (and then they can join the normal orchestras), playing "normal" music.

Most important: breakfast 8, coffiebreak 10:30, lunch 12, afternoon tea/coffie 14:30, coffiebreak 16:30, dinner 18, eveningcoffie 21.

I play timpany in Tchaikovsky in the mornings and timpany in Bruckner in the afternoons.

In the evening each day 19:30-21 we can play prima vista (without rehearsal), each day a "new" piece: Sunday: Berlioz: Roman Carnival and Martinez: Danzon nr. 2, Monday: Katchaturian: Masquerade, Tuesday: Brass-music, Wednedsday: Tchaikovsky: Cappr. Italien., Thursday: Dance-music or big-band (rehearsal for the final party Friday night).

Later each evening, so 22 or 23 or 24: Pieces, people like to play. Symphonies, concertoes, and so

In between it's possible to play chambermusic or make group rehearsals. This is the ultimate music camp.

I'm responsible for the percussion instruments: 11 timpanys, 3 big drums, xylophone, side drums, bells, cymbals, and a lot of smaller instrument. I have to go from Copenhagen to Askov twice and back.
